The Shires TRQ10RS Trumpet stands out with its inverted leadpipe, facilitating response and reducing resistance during attacks. As a unique variant of the TRQ10S model, this trumpet is known for its great agility and ability to produce sounds with delicate articulation.

The Shires TRQ10RS Trumpet embodies an exceptional variation of the TRQ10S model, featuring a reverse leadpipe (QR) that facilitates response and cushions attack resistance. With a bore size of 0.459 inches (11.66 mm), this trumpet is characterized by a warm, singing sound, remarkable projection, and easy, centered response across all registers.

The Q10 bell, with a diameter of 4.8 inches (122 mm), is made from a single piece of hand-hammered yellow brass. This bell has a centered "Q" shape with a rounded brass rim, helping maintain warmth and focus at higher dynamics while offering a softer tone at lower dynamics.

The QR reverse leadpipe is crafted from heavy yellow brass, providing an ideal combination of efficiency and flexibility.

The pistons are made of hand-polished Monel, known for their durability and smooth action. The valve set includes standard-weight two-piece casings with nickel balusters, which add brilliance and character to the sound, increase its core, and contribute to a clean, immediate attack.

The buttons and bottom caps are nickel-plated silver, adding a refined aesthetic to the instrument. The bell is engraved with the S.E. Shires maker's mark, model designation, and a traditional floral motif.

The trumpet's silver-plated finish provides an elegant appearance and corrosion resistance.

The TRQ10RS comes with a Q Series trumpet case, a mouthpiece, and a maintenance kit. This trumpet is an excellent choice for musicians seeking a versatile, professional-quality instrument capable of exceptional performances in a wide range of musical contexts.

While the TRQ10RS offers many qualities, it is worth noting that its sound is slightly more limited in amplitude, projection, and timbre compared to the Shires Custom series models.
