The B&S 3100 WG F tuba "JBL-Classiques" is a unique instrument, crafted for professional musicians who demand pure sound and reliable mechanics. Inspired by the legendary 3100W model—renowned for its deep and precise tone—this tuba was developed in collaboration with tubist Jens Björn-Larsen, a respected figure in the orchestral world.

High-end construction

Made from gold brass, the instrument delivers a warm, centered sound that is perfectly suited for both orchestral and solo performance. The leadpipe, also made of gold brass, is corrosion-resistant to ensure optimal durability and consistent airflow. The six rotary valves (4+2 configuration) are mounted on spring-loaded 3B linkages, ensuring smooth, silent, and highly responsive action.

A tuba built for performance

The conical bore (19 to 21 mm) allows for seamless transitions between registers and provides excellent intonation control, even in the most challenging passages. The 420 mm bell offers wide sound projection without compromising clarity or definition.

The nickel silver slides, known for their strength and wear resistance, reinforce a design entirely focused on professional performance. With a total height of 97 cm, this model is well-balanced and comfortable to play—whether in rehearsal, studio sessions, or on stage.
