The Schilke S43 HDL-F FADDIS Trumpet is an essential reference, developed in collaboration with top American concert artists. Its heavy HD body ensures crisp and precise attacks, along with exceptional response. The reverse leadpipe and tuning slide enhance air tightness for better projection.

With its medium bore (0.450 inches / 11.42 mm) and yellow brass bell (5 inches / 127 mm), the S43 HDL-F provides musicians with an elegant and rich orchestral sound, boasting impeccable intonation. Manufactured following the Schilke tradition, this trumpet delivers a truly magnificent sound.

The HD series is distinguished by a piston section heavier than usual, as well as a slightly thicker mouthpipe and tuning slide. The model is completed with a one-piece bell, specially designed to create a rich and dark sound. HD trumpets are available in silver-plated, 24-karat gold-plated, and lacquer finishes.

The S43HDL-F Faddis model was specially designed for the legendary jazz artist, conductor, composer, and educator Jon Faddis. It features our HD piston section, heavier at the center of the trumpet. Without lugs on the second slide, no water key on the main tuning slide, with heavy valve caps, and an adjustable sound post. The S43HDL-F model is also available by special order with an optional bell crown that offers deeper sound and increased resonance.
