The YANAGISAWA Elite Tenor Saxophones have a Bb key, a reverse neck key, reinforced low keys, a high F# key, leather pads, and hand-engraved details. Notable technical improvements have been made to enhance accuracy, consistency, and projection in all registers. The new brass material used offers increased durability, and the redesigned high F# lever provides improved playability. Additional reinforcements have been added under the right-hand octave keys for better playing feel. The angles of the low D# and C# keys have been optimized for smoother transitions and greater flexibility. The octave key touchpieces are now soldered onto the same plate, resulting in enhanced resonance. Two new resonance plates have been added to the neck and under the left-hand octave keys to achieve a more centered sound. Lastly, a new bell engraving adds a touch of elegance to the instrument.

The backpack-style case is practical and modern, featuring an interior storage compartment and an external pocket. The two straps allow for easy transportation as a backpack.

The YANAGISAWA Elite Tenor Saxophones offer exemplary craftsmanship, solid and ergonomically designed mechanics, and improved sound compared to the previous 900 series. However, they still have a strong classical music vibe and the price has increased.
