The Yamaha YFL 677 Flute offers a consistent and balanced sound, featuring a solid silver head and tube version of the 577 model. Perfect for demanding musicians.

The new Yamaha flutes from the 5, 6, and 7 series set new standards in musicality, skill, and expression for professional flutists. These instruments have benefited from significant improvements, notably with the new solid silver AM type embouchure, offering remarkable musical potential.

Made in Japan, these flutes stand out for their meticulous construction and high-quality materials. The mouthpiece and body are made of 925‰ solid silver, providing exceptional resonance and projection. The pointed key arms, drawn and rolled tone holes, and 925‰ solid silver keywork contribute to precise and smooth action.

The new AM type embouchure was developed in parallel with Yamaha's handmade 907 and 807 flute series. It offers well-balanced resistance across the entire range, allowing the flutist to express themselves with ease and precision.

The Yamaha YFL-677 series flutes feature a thicker tube of 0.43 mm, offering slightly higher resistance while preserving the flexibility needed for expressive interpretation. The annealing acoustic treatment applied to the instruments optimizes the acoustic response by altering the molecular grain size, offering a richer sound and a quick and lively response.

The Straubinger Phoenix pads ensure precise sealing and stable adjustment, while the stainless steel springs guarantee reactive and lasting action. The ergonomic shapes and natural key positioning offer optimal playing comfort, allowing flutists to focus entirely on their performance.

The Yamaha YFL-677 series flutes are renowned for their manufacturing consistency, ensuring consistently high-quality instruments. Their meticulous finish and beautiful balance across the entire range make them popular choices among professional musicians.

However, some musicians have expressed reservations about the sound of the Yamaha YFL-507 flutes, finding it sometimes bland compared to renowned brands such as Sankyo or Muramatsu. It is therefore recommended for musicians to test these flutes in person to assess their suitability for their playing style and sound preferences.
