The COURTOIS AC421 New York Bb/F Tenor Trombone is the result of a technical collaboration between the prestigious brand and Weston Sprott, esteemed trombonist of the New York Metropolitan Opera. Designed for professional musicians, this instrument offers exceptional sound, precise playability, and optimal response, meeting the demands of the most challenging performances.

The COURTOIS AC421 New York Bb/F Tenor Trombone is a technical and innovative instrument, developed in collaboration with Weston Sprott of the New York Metropolitan Opera. Featuring a redesigned leadpipe and slide, it provides an exceptional playing experience.

This model introduces a unique feature from Antoine Courtois: a detachable bell. This innovation allows the instrument to be transported in a flat case, offering unprecedented practicality.

The addition of a removable ring on the bell achieves a more focused sound with remarkable sound projection, which particularly impressed Weston Sprott.

Made in Germany with impeccable craftsmanship, this trombone features a cylindrical bore of 0.547 inches (13.89 mm) and a hand-hammered yellow brass bell with a diameter of 8.46 inches (215 mm). The outer and telescopic slides are also in yellow brass, while the inner slide is in chrome-plated nickel silver.

The Hagmann system with a fourth-valve rotor and progressive bore ensures precise response and optimal playability. The Open Wrap improves airflow smoothness, while the ergonomic and removable hand rest provides increased comfort during long playing sessions.

The trombone is finished with a layer of lacquer for lasting protection and an elegant aesthetic. It comes with a specially designed Marcus Bonna case to ensure maximum security during transport.
