The Miraphone Norwegian Star 283 Eb Tuba is an essential choice for demanding musicians. Acclaimed for its excellent intonation and exceptional quality, it offers unmatched versatility. With its 5/4 size and the option to choose between 4 or 5 rotary valves, it meets all expectations.

The Miraphone Norwegian Star 283 Eb Tuba represents the pinnacle of innovation and engineering for discerning tubists. With its 19.6/21.2 mm (approximately 0.77/0.83 inches) conical bore connected to 4 or 5 rotary valves, it delivers a beautiful tone and direct response. Its 400 mm (approximately 15.75 inches) bell allows for excellent resonance and can even replace a C tuba in medium or small orchestras.

The Norwegian Star is the result of over 3 years of research and development in partnership with Oystein Baadsvik, one of the world's leading tubists. This tuba required 5 complete prototypes to achieve its current level of perfection.

Its innovative design produces a consistent and full sound across all registers. The tone is clear, precise, and remains rich even in fortissimo and pianissimo passages. The conical leadpipe ensures excellent dynamic response in all registers.

"Simply amazing ! I have never played on a tuba with such good intonation !" exclaimed Oystein Baadsvik.
